You're getting access to a private streaming library run by TeenPact Leadership Schools. The library is called TeenPact+ and it runs on a streaming platform called Gavel, which a separate company (Dangerous Archive Creative Co.) built and owns. You got into the library with an access code, which you received as a thank-you for setting up a recurring donation to TeenPact. Because your access is tied to that donation, we keep the email address on your donation so we can send you the code and periodically confirm the donation is still active; if the donation stops, your access can end. Keep your code to yourself. The content is for you to watch, not to re-share, download, or rebroadcast. Some of the content is parody, which is intentional and protected. The rest of this document explains the rules in detail.
By entering an access code, viewing content, or otherwise using TeenPact+, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You represent that you are at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed these Terms and consents to your use. Your electronic acceptance of these Terms, including by entering an Access Code, clicking through the first-visit consent acknowledgment, or continuing to use TeenPact+, has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature and binds you to these Terms.
TeenPact+ is operated by TeenPact Leadership Schools, which owns the TeenPact+ name, marks, branding, and all Content (except for third-party material identified as such and the underlying Gavel technology). TeenPact Leadership Schools is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and a ministry of Family Resource Network, Inc.
The streaming platform that powers TeenPact+, Gavel, is owned and operated by Dangerous Archive Creative Co. Gavel includes its source code, design, user interface, infrastructure, and all associated proprietary technology. Dangerous Archive licenses Gavel to TeenPact so that TeenPact can deliver TeenPact+.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Gavel to TeenPact, of the TeenPact+ name or Content to Dangerous Archive, or of either to you. Your use of the service does not grant you any right, title, or interest beyond the limited license described in Section 5.
By using TeenPact+, you acknowledge this ownership structure.
4.1 How access works. TeenPact+ is offered as a benefit to supporters who maintain a qualifying recurring donation to TeenPact. TeenPact+ does not use passwords or traditional logins: once you are eligible, you watch by entering a unique Access Code. You do not sign in with your email.
4.2 How codes are issued. When you set up a qualifying recurring donation (currently a minimum of $10 per month; the current amount is shown on the donation page) and your first payment is successfully processed, TeenPact+ automatically generates an Access Code and emails it to the email address associated with your donation. To do this and to administer your access, we store that email address, an internal reference to your recurring donation, and the status of your Access Code. This is described in the Privacy Policy.
4.3 Access is tied to your recurring donation. Your access continues for as long as your qualifying recurring donation remains active and at or above the then-current minimum. We periodically verify, through our donation records, that your recurring donation is still active. If your recurring donation is cancelled, lapses, fails, is refunded or charged back, or drops below the minimum, your Access Code may be deactivated, with or without notice.
4.4 Your code is yours alone. Each Access Code is personal and non-transferable. You may not share, sell, lend, post, or otherwise distribute your code. Treat it like a password.
4.5 Code security. You are responsible for keeping your Access Code confidential. If you believe your code has been compromised, notify TeenPact promptly so it can be revoked and reissued.
4.6 Monitoring and revocation. We may monitor for indicators of code sharing or other misuse, and TeenPact may suspend or revoke any Access Code at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including suspected sharing, suspected security compromise, violation of these Terms, the end of your qualifying recurring donation, or completion of the program window for which the code was issued.
4.7 Eligibility. Access Codes are issued to the supporters to whom TeenPact provides them. They are not for the general public. To set up a recurring donation, you must be able to enter into a binding contract and provide a valid payment method.
4.8 Donation terms and payments. Your recurring donation is governed by the terms presented to you when you set it up and is collected and processed by TeenPact's donation system and its payment processor. These Terms govern your use of TeenPact+; they do not change the terms of your donation, and nothing here guarantees that any particular Content will be available in exchange for a donation. Donations are not refundable except as required by law or as stated by TeenPact's donation process. TeenPact+ does not collect or store your payment card details. TeenPact Leadership Schools is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (a ministry of Family Resource Network, Inc.). Because access to TeenPact+ is a benefit you receive in connection with your recurring gift, the portion of your gift that is tax-deductible may be affected by the value of that benefit; your donation receipt and TeenPact's donation disclosure address this, and you should consult your own tax advisor regarding your specific circumstances.
4.9 Electronic communications. By setting up a qualifying donation and providing the email address associated with it, you consent to receive your Access Code and related notices (for example, that a code has been issued, reissued, suspended, or revoked) electronically, by email to that address. You agree that these electronic communications satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. Keep your email address current with TeenPact; we are not responsible for a code or notice that is not received because an address is outdated, mistyped, or filtered by your mail provider.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, TeenPact grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and view Content on TeenPact+ for your own personal, non-commercial use during the period your Access Code is valid. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
You agree that you will not:
7.1 TeenPact's IP. The TeenPact+ name, logo, branding, and all Content (other than the Gavel technology and any third-party material identified as such) are owned by or licensed to TeenPact.
7.2 Dangerous Archive's IP. Gavel, including its source code, design, user interface elements, infrastructure, and all associated proprietary technology, is owned by Dangerous Archive. The name "Gavel" and any associated marks are owned by Dangerous Archive.
7.3 Third-party IP. Some Content references or evokes third-party trademarks, characters, brands, or works for purposes of parody, satire, commentary, criticism, or education. Those marks and works remain the property of their respective owners. See Section 8.
7.4 Trademark notices. "TeenPact," "TeenPact+," and the TeenPact and TeenPact+ logos and design marks are trademarks of TeenPact. "Gavel" and the Gavel name and design marks are trademarks of Dangerous Archive. All other trademarks, service marks, and trade names that appear on TeenPact+ are the property of their respective owners and are used here for identification and reference only. Such use does not imply any affiliation, endorsement, or sponsorship by the owners of those marks.
7.5 Feedback. Any feedback, suggestions, comments, bug reports, or ideas you submit to TeenPact or Dangerous Archive concerning TeenPact+, the Gavel platform, or any related product is non-confidential. By submitting such material, you grant TeenPact and Dangerous Archive a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and incorporate the feedback into any product or service, without attribution or compensation to you.
TeenPact+ includes original works that parody, satirize, or comment on movies, television, advertising, public figures, and popular culture. These works are intended as protected expression under U.S. copyright fair use doctrine (17 U.S.C. § 107 and cases including Campbell v. Acuff-Rose Music, Inc., 510 U.S. 569 (1994)), and as nominative or otherwise non-infringing references to third-party trademarks under the Lanham Act and applicable state law.
These works are:
All third-party names, characters, trademarks, logos, dialogue, music, and other copyrighted material referenced in parody Content remain the property of their respective owners. No claim of ownership or endorsement is made or implied. Where Content depicts or references real individuals, it is done for purposes of commentary, criticism, parody, or satire, and not in a manner intended to harm reputation or violate any right of publicity.
If you believe a particular work goes beyond fair use or otherwise infringes your rights, see Sections 9 and 10.
TeenPact respects intellectual property rights and responds to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512 ("DMCA").
9.1 How to send a notice. If you are a copyright owner (or authorized to act on behalf of one) and believe Content on TeenPact+ infringes your copyright, send a written notice to TeenPact's Designated Agent that includes all of the following:
9.2 Designated Agent.
DMCA Designated Agent
Chris May, CEO, TeenPact Leadership Schools
610 Moorefield Park Drive, Suite 700, Richmond, VA 23236
Email: chris.may@teenpact.com
9.3 Counter-notice. If Content of yours is removed in response to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the Designated Agent containing: your signature; identification of the removed material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address, and phone number; and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the U.S., the district where the Designated Agent is located), and a statement that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or their agent.
9.4 Misrepresentations. Knowing material misrepresentations in either a DMCA notice or counter-notice may result in liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
9.5 Response. Upon receipt of a notice that substantially complies with Section 9.1, TeenPact will review the notice and, in its discretion, may remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material, contact the original uploader, or take other appropriate action. TeenPact aims to respond to complete and properly addressed notices within a reasonable time. Good-faith responses to alleged infringement are afforded the protections available under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(1) and applicable law.
9.6 Restoration. If TeenPact receives a counter-notice that complies with Section 9.3, TeenPact may, in its discretion, restore the removed material if the original complainant does not, within ten (10) to fourteen (14) business days of receiving the counter-notice, provide TeenPact with notice of having filed a court action seeking to restrain the alleged infringer.
If you believe Content on TeenPact+ infringes a trademark you own, send a notice to the address in Section 9.2 that identifies the mark, the allegedly infringing Content, the basis for your claim, and your contact information. Trademark complaints concerning parody and other commentary will be evaluated against applicable defenses including nominative fair use and noncommercial expressive use.
TeenPact+ is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TeenPact and Dangerous Archive disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that Content will always be available, that the service will be free from interruptions or security incidents, that defects will be corrected, or that the service will meet your requirements.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
(a) Neither TeenPact, Dangerous Archive, nor their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, or licensors will be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or related to these Terms or TeenPact+, regardless of the legal theory and even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
(b) The total aggregate liability of TeenPact and Dangerous Archive arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of TeenPact+ will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TeenPact, Dangerous Archive, and their respective affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your violation of these Terms; (b) your misuse of TeenPact+ or any Content; (c) your sharing or distribution of your Access Code; or (d) your violation of any law or third-party right.
We may suspend or terminate your access to TeenPact+ at any time, for any reason, with or without notice, including for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Sections 6 through 13 and 15 through 21 survive termination.
TeenPact and Dangerous Archive may add, remove, modify, or discontinue any portion of TeenPact+ or Gavel at any time. We may also impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts or all of the service without notice or liability.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent version. Material changes will be communicated through TeenPact+ or through TeenPact's normal communication channels. Your continued use of TeenPact+ after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Chesterfield County, Virginia, for any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or TeenPact+.
Notices to TeenPact may be sent to chris.may@teenpact.com or to 610 Moorefield Park Drive, Suite 700, Richmond, VA 23236. Notices to Dangerous Archive may be sent to davis@dangerousarchive.com. Notices to you may be delivered through TeenPact+ or through any address or contact channel TeenPact has on file for the recipient of your Access Code.
Neither party will be liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, acts of war or terrorism, civil unrest, government action, labor disputes, internet or hosting outages, cyberattacks, pandemics, or utility failures.
Questions about these Terms or about TeenPact+ Content: chris.may@teenpact.com.
Questions about the Gavel platform: davis@dangerousarchive.com.
You watch TeenPact+ by entering an Access Code, not by logging in with an email and password. You receive that code by setting up a recurring donation to TeenPact. When you do, we receive the email address on your donation and we store it, linked to your Access Code, so we can email you the code and periodically check (through our donation records) that your donation is still active. If it stops, your access can end. We do not store your name or your donation amount in the streaming system, and we never collect or store your payment card details. While you're using the service, your device remembers things like your place in a video, and our systems and hosting infrastructure keep basic security and usage logs. We don't sell your data and we don't share it with advertisers. The rest of this document explains the details.
TeenPact+ is operated by TeenPact Leadership Schools ("TeenPact"). TeenPact Leadership Schools is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and a ministry of Family Resource Network, Inc. The streaming platform that powers TeenPact+, Gavel, is owned and operated by Dangerous Archive Creative Co. ("Dangerous Archive"). Both organizations process information described below, in their respective roles. For most purposes you should think of TeenPact as the operator of the service and Dangerous Archive as the operator of the underlying infrastructure.
You do not need to create an account, set a password, or give personal information to the streaming player to watch Content. You watch by entering an Access Code.
How you get a code. TeenPact+ is offered to supporters who maintain a qualifying recurring donation to TeenPact. When you set up a qualifying recurring donation through TeenPact's donation process and your first payment is successfully processed, our system automatically generates a unique Access Code and emails it to the email address associated with your donation.
What we store to do this. To issue your code, deliver it, and administer your access, the TeenPact+ access system stores:
We deliberately do not store your name, mailing address, donation amount, or any payment information in the TeenPact+ access system. Your donation amount and active/inactive status are read from TeenPact's donation records only at the moments they are needed and are not retained in the access system.
Periodic donation-status checks. Because access is tied to your recurring donation, our system periodically checks TeenPact's donation records to confirm that your qualifying recurring donation is still active and at or above the current minimum. If your donation is cancelled, lapses, fails, is refunded or charged back, or drops below the minimum, your Access Code may be deactivated.
What we use this for. Sending you your Access Code and updates about it; confirming your ongoing eligibility by checking your recurring-donation status; reissuing, revoking, or replacing codes when needed; and investigating suspected misuse or sharing of a code.
Payments and TeenPact's donor records. Your recurring donation, including any payment card or bank details, is collected and processed by TeenPact's donation system and its payment processor under TeenPact's separate donation terms and privacy practices. TeenPact+ does not collect, see, or store your payment card details. TeenPact's underlying donor records (which may include your name, contact details, and giving history) are maintained as part of TeenPact's broader operations and are governed by TeenPact's general privacy practices, described in the TeenPact Privacy Statement at teenpact.com, separate from the limited information the TeenPact+ access system stores as described above.
This information is not used for advertising and is not sold or shared with third parties for their own use. It is shared only with the service providers described in Section 7 that help us deliver and operate the service.
Stored on your device. To make the player work, TeenPact+ stores information in your browser's local storage on your own device, including your Access Code (so you don't have to re-enter it), your place in a video and watch progress, volume and similar preferences, and your acceptance of these Terms and this Privacy Policy (and the version you accepted). This information stays on your device and is not, on its own, transmitted to us, except that your Access Code is sent to our servers to confirm it is valid.
Access Code validation. When your Access Code is checked, our system records that a valid code was used and when, and a count of how many times it has been redeemed. This is associated with the Access Code, not with your name.
Server and security logs. Like virtually all websites, the service and its hosting and content-delivery infrastructure may automatically log standard technical information for security, reliability, and troubleshooting, including IP address and the approximate region derived from it, device and browser type, timestamps, requested URLs, and referring URLs.
Anti-abuse monitoring. We may review the information above for patterns that indicate Access Code sharing or other misuse (for example, an unusual number of devices, or simultaneous use from widely separated locations) and may act on what we find, including revoking a code.
Beyond the information described in this Policy, we do not deliberately collect government identifiers, biometrics, geolocation more precise than the region derived from an IP address, or the contents of your communications.
We use the information described above to:
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it for advertising on third-party platforms. We do not build advertising profiles about you. We do not engage in "cross-context behavioral advertising" or share data with data brokers.
TeenPact+ uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to remember that you have entered a valid Access Code, to remember your place in a video, to record your acceptance of these Terms and this Privacy Policy (and the version of those documents that you accepted), and to collect the usage information described in Section 3. You can clear or block cookies through your browser, but doing so may prevent the service from working properly. We do not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals because there is no common industry standard for how to do so. Where required by law, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC); note, however, that TeenPact+ does not sell or share your information or use it for targeted advertising in the first place (see Section 5), so there is generally nothing for such a signal to opt out of.
Information collected through TeenPact+ is accessible to:
We keep the email address, Access Code, and recurring-donation reference associated with your membership for as long as your access is active, and for a reasonable period afterward so we can administer revocation, answer questions, and reactivate access if your donation resumes. After that, we delete or de-identify that information. We retain Access Code validation and server-log data only as long as needed for security, reliability, and the purposes described above, then delete or anonymize it on a rolling basis. Aggregate, de-identified statistics that cannot be tied back to a specific person or Access Code may be retained indefinitely for historical and programming-development purposes. TeenPact's separate donor and donation records are retained under TeenPact's general practices and applicable law.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect, including encryption in transit, access controls that restrict who and what can read the stored data, and standard provider safeguards. The email address linked to your Access Code is stored so that it is not readable by ordinary visitors of the site or through the player; the site can confirm whether a code is valid, but cannot read the stored email addresses. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your Access Code has been compromised, notify TeenPact at the address in Section 16 so it can be revoked.
If we learn of a security incident that compromises information in a manner that triggers notification requirements under applicable law, we will notify affected individuals and the appropriate authorities as required. Where we hold an email address associated with your Access Code, we may use it to notify you of such an incident.
TeenPact's programs are designed for high-school-age students and older, and TeenPact+ is not directed to children under 13. Access Codes are issued to supporters who set up a recurring donation, which requires the ability to enter into a contract and a valid payment method; we therefore expect the email address we hold to belong to an adult supporter, not a child.
TeenPact does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If TeenPact becomes aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information in connection with TeenPact+, TeenPact will delete that information within a reasonable time after discovery (generally no more than thirty (30) days) and will not use it for any other purpose.
TeenPact does not sell the personal information of any user, and does not have actual knowledge that it sells the personal information of users under 16 years of age (see Section 5).
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact TeenPact at the address in Section 16 and TeenPact will take appropriate steps, including deleting any such information that can be identified. For users between the ages of 13 and 17 who watch Content, parents or guardians are encouraged to review these documents with them. Where applicable law requires parental consent for a minor to use an online service, a parent or guardian who provides access to a minor represents that they have the authority to consent.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under state privacy laws (including in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and other states) to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information about you, and to opt out of certain processing. Because we store the email address associated with your Access Code, we can generally locate the limited information we hold about you when you contact us from, or reference, that email address.
To exercise these rights, contact us at the address in Section 16. We will verify your request (typically by confirming control of the email address on file) and respond as required by law. You may ask us to delete the email address and Access Code we hold and to deactivate your access; note that doing so will end your TeenPact+ access, that we may retain limited records where the law allows or requires (for example, to document a revocation or to meet our obligations), and that your separate donation record held by TeenPact and its donation system is governed by TeenPact's general privacy practices and is not deleted by a TeenPact+ request.
You can also stop most collection at any time by discontinuing use and clearing your browser storage, and you can end the donation-linked processing by cancelling your recurring donation through TeenPact's donation process. We will not deny you service, charge you a different amount, or otherwise retaliate against you for exercising these rights, except that access to TeenPact+ inherently depends on maintaining a qualifying recurring donation.
TeenPact+ is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, which may have data-protection laws different from those of your country.
TeenPact+ may include links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their policies before providing them with information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent version. Material changes will be communicated through TeenPact+ or through TeenPact's normal channels.
